Equal
Employment Opportunity Policy
It is Victoria
& Associates' operating philosophy an intent to seek, select, employ,
and promote temporary employees and staff personnel. We will refer applicants
solely on the basis of qualifications for the job to be filled. There
is no explicit or implicit discrimination of any sort because of race,
religion, color, sex, age, marital status, national origin, veteran's
status or sexual orientation. In addition, Victoria & Associates fully
complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. There is no
explicit or implicit discrimination of any sort based upon physical or
mental disability or association with an individual who is physically
or mentally disabled.
It is a corporate
objective and an individual goal of every staff member at Victoria &
Associates Personnel Service to comply with sincere and dedicated efforts
to our equal employment opportunity commitments. It is the responsibility
of all supervisory personnel at Victoria & Associates to seek, select,
employ, appraise, and promote people on the basis of their qualifications
and performance record only.
Victoria
& Associates strives to ensure that employees work in an environment
free from intimidation and hostility. Harassment of any sort, including
sexual harassment, is strictly prohibited. Sexual harassment is defined
as "unwelcome sexual advances, request for sexual favors and other
verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature where such conduct is made
explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of employment, is used as
a basis for employment decisions, or has the purpose or effect of interfering
with work performance or creating an otherwise hostile or offensive environment."
Offensive conduct may include such things as making jokes of a sexual
nature, in general or directed at one person, suggestive comments, unsolicited
gifts of a sexual nature, and physical contact.
If an employee
complains of harassment in the workplace by a co-worker or supervisor,
or if you observe harassing conduct by employees, contact your Victoria
& Associates representative or Victoria Villalba. Both resources will
help you take immediate steps to investigate the complaint confidentially,
counsel the employee(s) involved, and resolve the problem. Victoria &
Associates will not retaliate against any employee who complains of sexual
harassment or participates in an investigation process. Any employee who
violates this anti-harassment policy will be subject to discipline up
to and including termination.
This policy
statement is prominently displayed in every place of business at our company.
